Qualifications
- Valid Saskatchewan Security Guard License
- Certified as a RAS Trainer
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance / RAIC
- Strong communication and conflict-management skills
- Professional appearance and customer-focused approach
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexible availability for rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Previous airport, aviation, or high-security experience is an asset
Job Duties
- Ensure all contracted services are performed in the manner and at times specified and provide administration and supervision of the Proponents' employees
- Available for after-hours calls and will have a backup person available to perform this duty when away due to vacation, illness or other circumstances
- Coordination, tracking and reporting of training of all security personnel
- In consultation with RAA, implement modernized security processes and systems to help RAA achieve a “Best in Class” customer-oriented security and customer service operation
- Maintenance of an effective security reporting and guard management system/database to facilitate provision of security related records and statistics to meet RAA needs
- Have oversite of shift scheduling and staffing plans, as well as ensure that all information is available in real-time through a Guard Management Scheduling system Security and Customer Services Agreement Page 21 of 39 Contract No. RAAC26-001 which tracks historical schedules and identifies any late attendance or shift vacancies
- Prepare a daily, weekly and monthly report system that will meet the needs of the RAA
- Responsible for personnel scheduling, training, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation development
- Attend meetings with the RAA and other airport stakeholders and tenants as required
- Monitor adherence to various airport programs
- Ensure new security personnel are capable of proficiently performing the required tasks assigned
- Evaluate, document and report monthly; on the quality of ongoing training, re certification and performance standards training utilizing a software database system
- In consultation with the RAA, develop and maintain an electronic repository of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining the various functions, duties and responsibilities of the Proponents employees and the provision of the Services
- The Site Manager will be required to implement policies and procedures that protect, maintain and respect the confidentiality of RAA's business operations and Airport security programs while providing, competent, responsible, customer service-oriented personnel who fully understand the priorities. The Site Manager will employ a command structure that clearly defines the levels of responsibility and authority pertaining to the various security staff positions
- Ensure all records and event history shall be retained as protected and confidential information and integrated into a Guard Management Software Program
- The Site Manager will ensure performance of the Services in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (CASR), 2012 forming part of the Aeronautics Act as published by Transport Canada.
