The Security Systems Analyst & Commissioning Specialist is responsible for analyzing, validating, and optimizing physical security technology deployments across client sites. This role bridges technical configuration, field commissioning, system analytics, and continuous improvement to ensure security systems operate reliably, meet design intent, and deliver measurable value. The position works closely with integrator partners, operations teams, IT, and clients to support site assessments, system validation, data review, and performance optimization for video surveillance and remote monitoring platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Lead end-to-end commissioning of video surveillance systems to ensure deployments meet design specifications and operational requirements.
- Conduct structured site assessments to validate coverage, system performance, infrastructure readiness, and risk exposure.
- Perform functional testing of cameras, sensors, integrations, and alert workflows prior to go-live.
- Analyze system performance data to identify configuration gaps, false positives, coverage deficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Review and approve technical scopes of work and quotations before installation to ensure alignment with standards and client objectives.
- Coordinate with integrator partners and internal teams to resolve technical deficiencies and drive projects to completion.
- Validate network connectivity, bandwidth capacity, storage configuration, and remote accessibility across deployed systems.
- Develop and maintain commissioning checklists, system documentation, and technical standards.
- Support onboarding of new client sites by validating escalation protocols, monitoring rules, and integration points.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or performance issues and implement corrective action plans.
- Perform other duties as required to meet organizational objectives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience commissioning and troubleshooting enterprise video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational database structures to query, validate, and analyze system-generated data.
- Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals including VLANs, bandwidth planning, and remote connectivity.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, system architecture diagrams, and scopes of work with precision.
- Proven experience coordinating with third-party integrators and managing technical project execution.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable operational recommendations.
