Summary of Job Description:

The Digital Marketing Associate Manager position supports the company's overall marketing goal of elevating Guest Love. This position modernizes our approach to digital and social marketing, implementing social strategies and creating content for various digital channels. This position also includes managing reporting and tracking our presence on social platforms, mining data for insights, and providing recommendations to management. The Digital Marketing Associate Manager uses digital and social media to educate guests about the company, showcase what makes the Panda brand unique, and reinforces our company's origin story.


You'll get a chance to:

  • Lead and execute social content development and implementation processes.
  • Develop and implement social strategies across always-on, national campaigns, speed of culture sprints, and heartbeat promotions.
  • Create concept and design social-first content for Panda social channels across organic and paid media.
  • Lead social production and post-production, shooting and editing content for Panda social channels.
  • Fulfill copywriting needs for organic and paid content across social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) that align with the brand's tone of voice.
  • Leverage knowledge to create timely and relevant content that resonates with the brand's strategic target audience.
  • Partner with Agency of Record and cross-functional teams (e.g. Panda In-House Agency, PR & Communications) to develop social strategies and social content consistent with Panda Express' holistic brand strategy and company objectives.
  • Lead and optimize social content publishing and social content calendar management to ensure a continuous cadence of posting that supports marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with Agency of Record's social community manager to identify and provide input on brand-building community management opportunities to fuel Panda fandom.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager and Agency of Record Social Strategist to monitor social media KPIs using social media tools.
  • Report back insights to key internal stakeholders to improve future strategies and optimize campaigns.
  • Analyze the social competitive landscape, benchmarking Panda Express against competitors in terms of key social metrics and social strategies.
  • Keep pace with social trends to identify opportunities for engagement and growth.
  • Assist in collaborations with influencers, guide the social amplification strategy, and provide input on influencer content to reach and engage with existing and new audiences.
  • Provide input on social processes with Agency of Record and cross-functional marketing teams to drive social results and create agility within the Panda organization.

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field required 
  • Minimum five years of social media campaign experience and agency management and collaboration
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Pay Range: P3: $90,000 - $126,500 / Annual


* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

ADA Statement:

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
