About the Role
New England Authentic Eats is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to design, implement, and manage training programs that drive performance, engagement, and retention across our fast-paced QSR operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Schoox, leveraging the platform to deliver innovative, scalable, and engaging training programs for both restaurant-level and corporate team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Strategy & Design
- Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with company goals, brand standards, and operational excellence in the QSR environment.
- Partner with operations, HR, and leadership to assess training needs and design programs that enhance employee skills, engagement, and career growth.
- Schoox LMS Management
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Schoox, ensuring optimal use of the platform's capabilities.
- Create, upload, and manage training modules, certifications, and learning paths tailored to QSR roles (hourly team members, shift leaders, general managers, and corporate staff).
- Analyze Schoox reporting/analytics to measure training effectiveness, completion rates, and business impact, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Program Development & Delivery
- Lead the design and rollout of onboarding, leadership development, compliance, and operations training programs.
- Blend e-learning, classroom training, and on-the-job coaching for an engaging multi-modal learning experience.
- Partner with operations leadership to ensure training is embedded in day-to-day execution at the restaurant level.
- Performance & Culture
- Align training initiatives with performance management processes, ensuring employees are equipped to meet KPIs.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and growth across all levels of the organization.
- Project & Team Leadership
- Lead and coach a team of training specialists or field trainers, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery.
- Manage training budgets, timelines, and vendor partnerships as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3–5+ years of L&D experience in the QSR or hospitality industry.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing training programs for frontline and leadership roles.
- Hands-on experience with Schoox LMS: content creation, administration, reporting, and analytics.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on program execution in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to evaluate and improve learning outcomes.
- Ability to travel as needed to support training initiatives across multiple restaurant locations.
