
Description
The technical training designer is responsible for designing, developing, and administering in person and online training, materials, and resources utilized within Paycom's Technology departments and onboarding development new hires.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct onboarding for Technology new hires
- Lead campus tour for development new hires
- Assist new hires in ensuring equipment is set up for development new hire on first day to complete required training
- Serve as point of contact and provide touchpoints, and department onboarding training to development new hires during their first three weeks of employment
- Assist development new hires in preparation for team placement meeting(s)
- Collaborate with Technology leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts for training content creation
- Create and edit video footage
- Create and update courses in Paycom's learning management system
- Deploy and analyze surveys as requested by department leadership
- Edit audiovisual content within the scope of the stakeholder's goals, deliverables, and schedule
- Assist in maintaining training paths and specific content for new and existing positions where training and learning courses are required
- Maintain footage archive ensuring it is properly organized, labeled, and tagged with metadata
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree
Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Video editing on any platform or software
- Instructional or Graphic Design experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and listening skills
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Detail oriented
