Within this dynamic environment, the UX Researcher I (UXR I) plays a critical role in supporting user research efforts that inform product decisions and improve the overall user experience.

The Product Research team is seeking a researcher to collaborate with senior researchers, product teams, and designers to gather an analyze user insights, helping shape user-centered product strategies. By executing research tasks with guidance, this role develops fundamental research skills and contributes to delivering actionable recommendations that enhance usability, engagement, and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing research requests and backlog, collaborating with stakeholders to track, prioritize, and communicate research needs
  • Develop research project proposals outlining objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes with guidance from senior team members
  • Plan and execute research projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, objectives, and stakeholder needs, with guidance as needed
  • Conduct Voice of the Customer (VoC) research, collecting and analyzing feedback to identify key themes and inform product decisions
  • Assist in usability testing, including planning, execution, and analysis, to improve user interactions and experience
  • Conduct card sorting and tree testing to support information architecture improvements and enhance navigation and content organization
  • Develop research models, such as user journey maps, personas, and workflows, based on research findings, with guidance
  • Organize, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research data to generate clear, actionable insights
  • Create and present research reports that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Translate research insights into user-centered product recommendations and support stakeholder alignment on research-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and development, to integrate research findings into decision-making
  • Advocate for research and user-centered design by communicating the value of insights and promoting research-driven improvements
  • Support the development and refinement of UX research standards, best practices, and evaluation of emerging trends
  • Conduct secondary research and competitive analysis to supplement primary research and provide primary research and provide additional insights, with guidance
  • Continuously develop research skills, seek mentorship, and engage in career growth opportunities

Qualifications

 

Education/Certification:     

  • Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), psychology, anthropology, cognitive science, design, business, data science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience Required:

  • 0-2 years of experience conducting UX research, usability testing, or related research activities
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Familiarity with UX research tools (UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, etc.)
  • Exposure to product development processes
  • Experience working on B2B products
  • Experience in using data to answer questions, inform decisions, and solve problems

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of UX research methodologies (usability testing, VoC research, card sorting, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques for qualitative and quantitative research
  • Awareness of research tools and platforms used for surveys, testing, and data tracking
  • Ability to synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present research insights effectively
  • Collaboration and teamwork with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving with the ability to identify patterns and make data-driven recommendations
  • Attention to detail and organization with the ability to manage multiple research tasks effectively
  • Empathy and user advocacy with the ability to represent the user's perspective in product decisions
  • Adaptability and learning mindset with the willingness to grow and improve research skills
