Position Summary:
The Penske Collections Analyst provides information and advice on Accounts Receivable collections by utilizing multiple sources of information.
Major Responsibilities:
• Analyze multiple data sources for potential bad debt losses.
• Prompt action required to alert managers.
• Significant interaction with customer and field to identify and solve payment issues.
• Likely involves administrating a payment plan.
• Manage activities on escalation trackers – for disputes, or when customer payments bounce for non-sufficient funds.
• Help structure repayment plans or influence decision to default.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of accounting principles. (Invoicing, collections, cash application)
• 5+ years prior collections and customer service experience preferred.
• This position calls for problem solving and negotiating with customers and our field.
• High School diploma or equivalent required, College degree preferred.
• Must be able to communicate well in the written and oral form.
• Software (Microsoft Office Suite, AS-400)
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
