Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and administrative support for Purchasing Card (Pcard) operations, specifically for U.S. and Canadian transactions. It also entails various responsibilities related to account setup, account management, process improvement, fraud prevention, and financial support. This role requires strong prioritization, problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and compliance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Pcard Set Up and Maintenance: Oversee quality control (QC) for Pcard setup and maintenance processes. In addition, provide backup support to the Pcard Administrator (Pcard Admin) for any setup or case review tasks.
- Payment Inquiries & Authorization Support: Address payment-related issues, including inquiries, limit increase requests, and manual authorizations for Pcard transactions.
- Analyze and Develop Solutions: Design and implement automated solutions to improve financial controllership processes.
- Fraud Management: Identify, report, and follow up on fraud-related issues through data analysis and reporting. As well as provide ongoing support in resolving outstanding fraud cases.
- Understanding of General Ledger (GL) Mapping: Support timely and accurate mapping of daily Pcard transactions to the GL.
- Training and Onboarding: Provide training and onboarding support for end users when new programs or initiatives are introduced, ensuring smooth adoption. In addition to providing new users guidance for best practices ensuring proper compliance and accuracy.
- Genpact Team Support: Offer support to the offshore Genpact team to ensure operational effectiveness and resolve issues related to Pcard audits.
- American Express (Amex) Card Support: Support American Express inquiries and current accounts.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop, manage, and maintain clear and effective SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance within Pcard operations.
- Penske Systems Expertise: Possess a strong working knowledge of Penske systems (e.g., AS400, PartsNet, ServiceNet) to support Pcard operations.
- Expertise in External Systems: Maintain expert-level knowledge of external systems, including U.S. Bank and American Express, to provide efficient support and troubleshooting.
Other Assigned Projects: Assist with any additional projects as directed by management to support the broader goals of the organization
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of financial analytics experience, required.
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access), required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive tasks effectively.
- Solid understanding of financial processes, including month-end close and GL review.
- Experience in audit compliance, Pcard operations, and fraud detection, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for training, support, and collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Familiarity with financial systems and software related to card operations and supplier payments.
- Excellent data management skills and a working knowledge base.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage projects
