Project Leader (Health and Safety)

Location: Reading, PA

Position Summary:

This position will be part of the corporate safety team and will be responsible for a variety of safety related processes and programs. Responsibilities include the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a variety of safety-related programs, to include: compliance, systems, and internal process. They will work alongside internal team members along with other 3rd party vendors to help ensure programs and processes are executed properly.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead various business-wide safety projects which may involve creating presentations, running and analyzing reports, developing communications, establishing processes and expectations, monitoring performance, etc.
  • Review various performance reports to identify and address process compliance issues and concerns.
  • Research contributing factors that may be leading to compliance issues and concerns and lead the appropriate team members to identify an action plan.
  • Provide routine project status updates to leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Capable of working in cross-functional teams as both a leader and team member.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a corporate support setting
  • Introductory data analysis skills
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong collaboration & organizational skills; ability to navigate cross-business functions.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening are required.
