WAREHOUSE EMPLOYEE

Penske Logistics is looking for Warehouse Associates to be part of a great team. This is a great opportunity for safety-conscious people with a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

Salary: $24.38/hour

Work Schedule: 3:30 PM - Midnight

The location operates 16 hours a day, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work overtime as needed in order to meet the needs of the business, sometimes with minimal notice.

Key Responsibilities:

The requirements of the position include the following:

• Accurately organize and sort merchandise for loading
• Loading and unloading trailers
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Stacks boxes and pallets
• Moving goods around the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Digitize products electronically using a warehouse management system
• Quality Control
• Ensure that damaged products are identified and removed once received
• Attach ID tags to pallets or mark them with credentials
• Prepares pallets for shipment
• Maintains inventory records
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and various warehouse mechanical equipment
• Use forklifts or pallet trucks to transport goods
• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in storage or material handling equipment (using hand/power tools and hand trucks) required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Reading skills and ability to follow required instructions
• Ability to work independently, customer service, relationships with others, multitasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility, excel with required numbers and time management skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (if applicable depending on location)
• Flexibility to work preferred overtime
• Ability to work in non-climatic conditions required
• Regular, predictable and complete attendance is an essential function of the position
• Willingness to travel if necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske job application, undergo a reference check (to include previous employment and education) are required

-In performing the duties of this position, the Associate will be expected to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate often needs to use their hands to touch, manipulate, and smell, as well as to reach their hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
