Description

Excellent Job Opportunity for a Certified Physician Assistant in Atlanta, Georgia

Are you looking for a better work/life balance, but still passionate about providing high-quality care? How about no weekends, no inpatient care, no procedures, no Medicare or Medicaid, no walk-ins, and no double bookings. How about built-in admin time, minimal controlled substances, an onsite lab and radiology department, a relatively healthy patient base, a large specialist network for referrals, and your last patient at 3:45? If this sounds good, keep reading about our primary care practice ...

We are looking for a certified PA to join our private primary care office located in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta. We provide comprehensive, high-quality care for acute and chronic conditions for patients aged 15 to 65.

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00, with an hour for lunch. The first patient is at 8:30 and the last one is at 3:45. You will not work weekends. Call is by telephone only and is VERY light. It is shared between providers and averages about 2 calls/month.

Although you will work autonomously, there will be a board-certified attending in the office almost 100% of the time, allowing consultation as needed. On the rare occasions when an attending isn't available, they are reachable by phone 100% of the time. You will be provided with a highly trained support staff so you can focus on patient care. We pride ourselves on finding highly motivated and intelligent medical assistants to help make your job easier. Most are on their way to PA or medical school.

Time is built into your schedule to allow for administrative work so you don't feel overwhelmed. You will typically see about 14 patients per day, with a mix of office visits and physicals. In an 8-hour workday, you will see patients for 6 hours, and use the other two hours for administrative tasks (charting, refills, answering e-mails, etc).

Salary is $95,000-$140,000, depending on experience. And a generous productivity bonus is available after one year.

You must have a minimum of two years post-graduate experience, preferably in Internal or Family Medicine, but other specialties such as Urgent Care, GI, Cards, Pulm, Endo, Nephro and Rheum will also be considered. Candidates from a Top 40 PA School are preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential as our patients want to be included in treatment decisions. Must have a Georgia PA-C license and eligibility for a DEA license. Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus.
