- Job Details
- Minimum 3 years of Telemetry and Med Surg experience required
- May float to other Med Surg and Tele units
- Accepts 1st time travelers
- Additional Requirement: Must be able to read strips
- Experience level is med-surg and telemetry with a 1:5 nurse to patient med-surg ratio
- Years of experience are a minimum of 3 years in nursing
- References have level 4-5 ratings
- Competencies must be consistent with medical-surgical and telemetry patient care needs and should be rated 3 or greater
- Job Requirements
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
- Must be able to work in Telemetry setting
- Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring
- Required Cardiovascular skills: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery
- Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
- Required Medication skills: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration
- Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills: Care of Chronic/Long-term Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks, Tracheostomy Management

- Unit Details: Avg Census: 36, Rooms/Beds 36, Ratios - 1:5
- Every other weekend coverage required
- No Call requirement
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
- Patient Population: Adolescents - Geriatrics
- RTO must be on the submittal
- No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment
- Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it's to cancel time requested - ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract
