Description

The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and field leaders. The position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. This role serves as a consultant to leaders on human resource-related issues; formulates partnerships across the HR function; delivers value-added service to field leaders and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The position will be based in our corporate office and reports to the Legal Counsel & Director or ER and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies
* Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action
* Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
* Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies
* Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
* Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
* Provides performance management guidance to field leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
* Partners with the Recruiting team as needed for new hires, promotions and transfers
* Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
* Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
* Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9
* Updates, monitors and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases
* Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs

Qualifications

* Strong Human Resources experience and work ethic as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
* Bachelor's Degree required
* Relevant experience in retail or experience supporting a field organization
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Prior experience working with HRIS Systems to include leveraging key data to identify trends and develop strategies to drive improvement in core metrics
* PHR or ability to obtain SHRM CP within 12 months of hire date
