Job Summary

Supervises and coordinates activities of staff. Responsible for activities relating to the storage, movement, and data entry of material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in and out of warehouse facilities in accordance with established priorities and schedules. Note: This job should only be utilized within the Regional Distribution Center. Accountabilities

* Selects, trains/orients, assigns department staff, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.  Adheres to GHS policy in disciplining/terminating employees.  Ensures the appropriate utilization of the GHS progressive discipline policy for employees with performance, behavior, or attendance problems. 40%

* Plans and manages the day to day operations, procedures and processes required to meet established goals and objectives. 30%

* Interacts and communicates with co-workers and customers of the department for problem solving and achieving established goals and objectives. 10%

* Demonstrates excellent rapport and the ability to encourage open communication with staff and resolve interdepartmental problems and conflicts. 10%

* Responsible for meeting financial targets, FTE budgets and other assigned operational expectations for Material Services. 5%

* Conducts staff meetings at least monthly providing updates and communication striving to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports. Minimum Education

High School diploma or equivalent 

Minimum Experience

3 years- Progressively responsible Material / supply experience (one of the three years must be healthcare materials experience) 

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

5 years of Materials/supply experience may substitute for the experience requirement noted above 

Other Required Experience

Supervisory experience- Preferred

Post High School education of one year to 18 months in an accredited program- Preferred
