What You Will Do:
  • egulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with the provisions of the Knox-Keene Act and other relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Contract Review: Review contracts, agreements, policies, and other legal documents.
  • Licensing and Reporting: Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and compliance reports, including those required under the Knox-Keene Act.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes and updates to healthcare laws and regulations, including amendments to the Knox-Keene Act, and communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Investigations: Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and audits, including those related to Knox-Keene Act compliance.
  • Contract Development: Draft, review, and analyze contracts with corporate and higher education customers, vendors (e.g., suppliers, service providers), and subcontractors to ensure compliance with legal standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and with customers, vendors, and partners to create mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Contract Management: Maintain a centralized repository of contracts, track key dates (e.g., renewal, termination), and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks associated with contractual agreements and propose strategies for mitigation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare reports, summaries, and other documentation related to contract review activities for internal stakeholders and regulatory purposes.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to manage relationships with vendors, including addressing issues and resolving disputes.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards to support contract review and analysis.
  • Customer Service: Prepare to respond to any level of customer service as needed in the event of a disaster management services activation.
  • Assist with other legal responsibilities including trademarks, insurance, and state registrations.
