UX Designer II



Why Do We Have This Role

Customers can make experience management part of their organization's muscle memory with xFlow, our automated action engine that takes the power of the XM platform and uses it to drive action in every corner of the organization. We are looking for a UX Designer in Seattle to join our passionate group of builders. Our leaders and customers expect and encourage us to push the boundaries of what an enterprise product could be, envisioning across all platforms to directly impact the product roadmap and our customer's goals.


How You'll Find Success

Your product UX design vision sees 1-2 years into the future and evolves by listening to customers and ideating groundbreaking solutions. You identify and surface UX issues and opportunities ensuring that they are closed out. Leading collaboration across software development, product management, and product marketing you create fluid, intuitive user experiences that scale seamlessly across desktop, and mobile applications and push into paradigms such as voice. Working as a UX Designer in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment requires a blend of traditional UX skills along with a deep understanding of the platform's architecture, users, and their needs.

 

How You'll Grow

  • Mentor Other UX Designers
  • Develop a new standard in how core design patterns are shared and documented ensuring that engineers around the globe can seamlessly tap into the patterns allowing them to independently build with confidence.
  • Spend time with a customer learning from them what would make Qualtrics integrate into their workflow and improve the quality of their work.
  • Showcasing technical acumen and being able to grasp technical concepts early on will be beneficial.

 

Things You'll Do

  • Build high-fidelity wireframes of a multi-variant workflow that inspires users in a research study in how it simplifies the customer journey.
  • Partner with your Engineering and Product leads on a product roadmap that pushes the boundaries of what it means to be a market-leading Experience Company.
  • Attend a UX team critique - inform and support the work that is being presented by your team members and help inspire junior members of the team.
  • Translate data from a usability study and translate it into concrete user interface design improvements and get them prioritized into sprint planning so customers see an immediate impact.
  • Integrate the latest standards in interaction design and trends in user design into the product to create the most intuitive and easy-to-use enterprise product in the market.

 

What We're Looking For on Your Resume

  • 3-5 years as an information architect, user experience, or interaction designer.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields such as Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Arts, or Computer Science. Master's preferred.
  • Have shipped and maintained multiple products and features with an online portfolio that showcases this work and your process.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the PaaS offering is crucial.  Who is familiar with designing complex systems and tools, designing with an ecosystem, designing code and low-code tools, data ETL processes, etc. The UX designer needs to comprehend the technical aspects to ensure that the user experience aligns with the platform's capabilities.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility principles and experience in building for accessibility.
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Invision. Abstract, Photoshop, Framer, Origami, and/or Principle are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Github and Jira is highly preferred.

You'll be joining the UX Team which is composed of UX Designers/Product Designers, Content Designers, and UX Researchers, and part of the overall Product, UX, and Engineering org at Qualtrics. We have individuals working across the United States, predominantly in Seattle, Provo, and Reston, with an EU team working across Dublin and Krakow.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.

Washington State Pay Transparency Range $113,000—$215,000 USD
