Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst within our Information Technology department. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, testing, documenting, and providing training and support for business applications used by our food processing business divisions. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are self-starters, results-oriented, able to work independently and as part of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and translate business requirements into effective system enhancements and new functionality
  • Design and validate solution prototypes with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers and developers in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Create and execute test cases to ensure enhancements meet business needs
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, deliver training, and provide ongoing end-user support
     

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in business analysis or a related role within a development environment
  • Degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with any of the following is an asset:
    • SQL
    • Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
    • Jira, Confluence
    • Software testing and test automation
