Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician at our South Sioux City, NE. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing quality assurance testing to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications. This role is for the 3rd shift, with hours from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
Responsibilities:
Gathers samples and analyzes finished product with respect to customer specifications and HACCP requirements.
Identifies any non-conforming product and food safety issues and assists in the investigation of issues and recommendations.
Completes multiple quality analysis tests. Communicates with operations staff regarding product quality and warehouse staff regarding approval details and lot coding.
Maintains accurate documentation of analyzed product responsible for product approvals to ensure top quality products are shipped to customers
Prepares marketing samples for shipment, making sure all information is properly labelled and carefully packed to avoid product damage.
Maintains a working knowledge of the milling process, tests and equipment, and general laboratory operations.
Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Computer proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel is required.
Experience in a quality assurance testing is considered an asset
