Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a  Sales Manager in our Lenexa, KS office. This position is responsible for Richardson Milling's industrial sales, business development and account management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned Regional and National accounts to meet sales budgets and objectives

  • Build and maintain customer relationships with new and existing customers, provide timely market information based on current market conditions

  • Work closely with operations on ingredient sourcing, logistics and other initiatives  

  • Participate in identifying new business development opportunities and commercialization of new product initiatives to grow the business

  • Provide product development sales expertise including processing technology comprehension

  • Participate in food shows representing Richardson Milling to increase awareness as a leading supplier of food ingredients

  • Analyze freight and market spreads, volume dynamics and customer products balances; stay abreast of changes to commodity market fluctuations

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Agriculture or a related field

  • 5 years food ingredients sales experience including product development experience

  • Demonstrated business and commercial acumen

  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
