Description

Richardson Oilseed Products U.S., a division of Richardson International operates a state-of-the-art oil packaging facility in Memphis, TNwhere it refines and packages one of the United States' most recognized brands of canola and vegetable cooking oils, Wesson Oil.

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to oversee the Wesson Oil retail sales channel in the Midwest, managing key customers like UNFI, AWG, Meijer, Spartan-Nash, and others. This position reports to the Director, US Retail Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customer account plans, sales forecasts, and margins aligned with brand strategies and sales goals.

  • Create and execute optimal assortment, merchandising, pricing, promotional, and shelving plans for accounts.

  • Develop and present annual business plans to both customers and leadership.

  • Conduct category business reviews using loyalty and syndicated data to identify consumer trends, key business drivers, and recommend growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with category management, sales support, customer service, and demand planning to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.

  • Lead the broker team in managing customer accounts, including business planning, customer meetings, trade promotions, and tactical execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred. Minimum 10-15 years of CPG experience in regional key account sales management, brand or category management, or a related field.

  • Experience managing complex retail and wholesale accounts (e.g. UNFI, AWG).

  • Expertise in sales functions with a strong background in sales operations, supply chain, finance, and marketing strategy.

  • Knowledge of trade promotion management and its impact on customers and business outcomes is required.

  • Strong analytical skills to apply financial data in strategic decision-making and influence results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel required.

  • Solid understanding of IRI, Nielsen, and Spins data.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

The ideal candidate for this role will reside in a major Midwest city. Candidates outside of the Midwest should have access to a regional airport that serves as a hub for a major airline.
