Position Summary

                                

We are seeking a qualified Finance Real Estate Manager/Sr. Manager to join our Corporate Team. In this position you will play a key role in underwriting, structuring, negotiating, and analyzing real estate transactions for Richmond American Homes. Additionally, you will work directly with Senior Leadership as well as Division land teams on transactions throughout the country to help fulfill the Company's land needs. (The title of the position will be determined at the time of candidate selection based on candidate skill-set and experience)

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Analysis of Land Acquisition packages, proformas, and underwriting of land deals presented to our Asset Management Committee (AMC).
  • Financial modeling for alternative acquisition structures and financing arrangements including off-balance sheet structures.
  • Work primarily with the Chairperson of the Asset Management Committee, as well as Senior Leadership including the CEO, CFO, and COO, as well as the in-house Legal teams to assist with due diligence, financial underwriting, transaction negotiation and closings, and management of the company's land portfolio.
  • Create and develop visual presentations and informational packages for use by Senior Leadership, the Board of Directors and Divisions.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Analyze market conditions on a macro and micro level.
  • Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of budgeting, forecasting, and financial models related to our land portfolio.
  • Other special projects, ad hoc reporting and analysis duties as assigned.
  • On the job training will be provided by the AMC Chairperson.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred but not required.
  • CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
  • Experience in secured and unsecured lending, real estate equity, land banking, and/or joint venture structuring and negotiation preferred but not required..
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Homebuilding industry or real estate lending or development experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 or Workiva is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data gathering skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to present and communicate work effectively to key constituents.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team and organize time to meet goals.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $150,000-$200,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
