Position Summary

The position is responsible for the day to day administration of the benefit plans according to established procedures and plan rules.

 

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for employees with benefit questions and facilitates problem resolution for employees.
  • Assists in the development of benefit plan communication, the wellness program, and training materials; may deliver training when appropriate (new hire orientation).
  • The incumbent will administer the leave of absence process. The position may also provide support to HR Generalist/Operations team which includes processing various HR/employee paperwork and other HR initiatives/specialist projects.
  • In addition, may help with HRIS responsibilities including processing employee data, producing HR related reports and system configuration.

**This is an in-person/in-office role (not remote).**

 

Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience: 1-3 years of Human Resources experience with an emphasis in Employee Benefits.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to employee benefits (e.g., ADA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees regarding benefit plans and enrollment procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents, and policy and procedure manuals.

Skill In: Proficient in MS Office Suite.

  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $55,000-$65,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt 
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
