Summary

The Director, Total Rewards & Compliance, is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of the company's compensation, benefits, leave of absence programs, time off plans, and HR policy governance. This role ensures all programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives. The Director partners closely with HR, Legal, and business leaders to ensure regulatory adherence, drive process improvements, and support enterprise transformation initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions and systems optimization.

In this role, you will
  • Lead the design and execution of compensation, benefits, and leave programs to ensure alignment with business strategy and compliance requirements
  • Govern and maintain HR policy infrastructure, including the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
  • Oversee leave of absence and time off plans, ensuring legal compliance and operational consistency across states.
  • Support M&A and joint venture integration efforts by aligning rewards, leave programs, and policies across entities.
  • Collaborate with HR Technology and Shared Services to ensure accurate data flow between SuccessFactors, BenefitFocus, and third-party vendors.
  • Identify and address processes, compliance, and system issues impacting total rewards and policy administration.
  • Manage external vendors related to benefits and leave administration, ensuring performance and compliance.
  • Ensure compensation strategies support internal equity, external competitiveness, and career development frameworks.
  • Build scalable processes and reporting to support growth and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to support total rewards and policy governance objectives.
     
What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including leadership in Compensation, Benefits, Leave Management, and/or Policy Administration.
  • Demonstrated success in managing enterprise-level human resources programs and developing organizational policies.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FLSA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, problem-solving, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Proficiency in human resources information systems (HRIS), preferably SAP SuccessFactors; experience with compensation and benefits software is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, apply statistical and mathematical concepts, and solve complex problems with limited guidance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms with various audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCP, CEBS, or SHRM-SCP are preferred. 
  • This position may require up to 25% travel.
