SummaryRNDC is looking for an Innovative and Energetic Platform Engineering Manager specializing in HCM (Human Capital Management) Systems to join our RNDC team. The Platform Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration, optimization, and integration of our HCM systems and ensuring that the systems supporting human resources processes, such as payroll, talent management, performance, and employee data, are functioning efficiently and aligned with business objectives. This role supports critical business operations between HR & IT Teams to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and optimized to meet the evolving needs of the organization. The Manager will assist in the management of the Platform (product, project, and development) employee life cycle, and where necessary, introduce systems to help teams manage with the goal of reducing implementation risk to the organization.
In this role, you willSupervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of department Associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and talent development; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Oversee the daily administration and support of HR systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP), ensuring seamless functionality and addressing any system issues or user queries.
- Lead and manage HCM systems projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and integrations with other business systems. Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze system performance and propose improvements to enhance system efficiency, user experience, and alignment with HR business objectives.
- Build, develop, and cultivate direct reports as well as the overall team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Work closely with HR business partners, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure system requirements are met. Act as the primary point of contact for all HCM system-related matters.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance within the HCM systems. Develop and manage reporting tools for HR metrics and analytics, supporting decision-making processes.
- Develop and deliver training materials and user guides for HR staff and other system users. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure effective use of HCM systems.
- Ensure HCM systems adhere to data security standards, privacy regulations, and organizational policies, maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for system updates, troubleshooting, and ongoing support services.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university, preferably in a technical area equivalent, or a combination of education and professional experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience managing or supporting HCM systems in an HR environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role is strongly preferred. Proficiency of relevant technologies, especially SAP SuccessFactors (specifically the Compensation, Recruiting, LMS, EC, ECP, and Performance modules), UKG Dimensions, ADP. Experience with system implementation, integration, and process optimization. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership. Understanding of HR processes, policies, and best practices. Exceptional project management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage complex data and reporting needs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of common office productivity technology (MS office suite, collaboration applications, etc.)
