Summary

The VP of Supplier will be accountable for full strategy, programming, and P&L for a portfolio of RNDC suppliers, with the responsibility to grow supplier and RNDC revenue and profitability. Individual is responsible for team management including hiring, managing, and professionally developing portfolio manager teams. Individual will lead a team that develops, drives, and track key supplier programs, initiatives and strategies to ensure strong performance and execution of goals. 

In this role, you will
  • Supplier Relationship Management – Serve as the internal “owner” of each partner's RNDC business. Will optimize a team who serve as RNDC's point of contact for Suppliers, will drive recurring engagement and full transparency for our partners.  
  • P&L ownership – Owns full Supplier P&L, responsible for maximizing top line revenue by developing strategies to grow business with portfolio of suppliers as well as maintaining bottom line profitability and optimal mix, sku and brand line ups. 
  • Strategy setting – Responsible for translating, optimizing, and enabling supplier strategy and initiatives across all RNDC functions and footprints 
  • Inventory Management – works in coordination with Operations to optimize inventory levels for suppliers; intervene as needed to ensure overall supplier goal attainment and performance management 
  • Commercial planning – Responsible for owning supplier based commercial plans / AOPs, including setting targets and goals for suppliers; provide guidance and direction for the commercial planning process to ensure individual supplier AOPs meet overall BU goals and priorities. 
  • Talent management – Responsible for hiring, managing, and professionally developing portfolio manager talent. 
  • Programming – Drives commercial programming for portfolio of suppliers. Responsible for score carding and full attainment of goals. 
  • Internal coordination – Serves as face of a portfolio of suppliers for internal RNDC teams; responsible for regularly connecting with Sales, NASA, Operations and Demand Planning, Marketing, and Finance 
  • Portfolio improvement – Reviews and analyzes brands for opportunities for sales and profits, responsible for identifying and developing high growth potential suppliers / brands and drive out under-performing brands and SKU's. 
  • Industry engagement – Visible and effective leader in the industry for supplier partners and RNDC. Maintain fluency on industry trends, regulations, and best practices; attends key industry conferences / meetings to represent RNDC and continue to build strategic relationships and make an impact with current and new suppliers 
  • Supplier operational excellence – ensures that supplier is running efficiently and effectively, identifying areas for process / ways of working improvements• RNDC Efficacy. Participate and drive enhanced performance and continued evolution of RNDC across all functions. 
What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required;  
  • MBA preferred;  
  • ten or more years of experience in sales management with an alcoholic beverage distributor, wholesaler, or supplier;  
  • five or more years of experience leading and directing large teams; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.  
  • Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle.  
  • Travel up to 50% of the time.
