
Description
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for managing the entire payroll process, which includes bi-weekly payroll processing and associated tasks. This position also manages Year End payroll responsibilities and Quarterly Tax responsibilities. Will perform payroll analytics and reporting. Reports directly to the Payroll Manager.
Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Business Administration or a related field is a plus; Payroll Certification or HR Certification a plus.
· 5 to 7 years of Payroll experience is required. (ADP Workforce Now experience is a huge plus.)
· Experience managing Payroll for a multi-state retail company.
· Experience managing multi-state wage & tax reporting.
· Strong analysis and payroll reporting experience and skills.
· Strong and effective attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.
· High sense of urgency in planning and executing payroll functions.
· Judgment, initiative and the ability to deal with complex relationships and ideas, and the confidence to make timely and informed decisions.
· Excellent written and oral communications, creative problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills which relate well to a diverse workforce.
· Strict confidentiality, professional demeanor, and able to provide a positive company image to the public.
· Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. Knowledge of federal and state labor laws affective payroll requirements.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
· Must provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
· Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships and trust with a broad range of individuals and departments.
· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and effectively as a team.
· Strong computer proficiency and payroll software experience.
· Demonstrated effective computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. – MUST be an advanced Excel user.
