Title: Clinical Laboratory Assistant II

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Pathology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Assists supervisor with the entry level training and coordination of the activities executed by Clinical Laboratory Assistant I that process requests and receive clinical laboratory/clinical research/research specimens within the laboratory sections within the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; processes, and routes laboratory testing material to appropriate testing areas and reference laboratories; transcribes, prints, sorts, mails, and faxes laboratory requests and reports; handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods; assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders.

Salary range is $46,306 - $56,743 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Two (2) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant I at Roswell Park; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or scientific related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology; or
3. Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a comparable medical/clinical setting; or
4. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology. 
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
