Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Cell Stress Biology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Performs highly confidential, complex administrative duties for a senior-level executive; transcribes, types, maintains records and files, distributes mail; performs telephone reception; welcomes and directs on-site visitors; duplicates and distributes photocopies; routes faxes; revises work assignments at various subordinate levels to enhance administrative support efforts and meet department objectives; participates in the team or group work activities in the office; performs the above duties and responsibilities in a highly complex and confidential environment requiring direct supervision from a senior-level executive, with broader latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in a research-focused academic setting
- Experience in submitting grant applications and overseeing grant portfolios
- Proficiency in grant submission processes and general grants administration
- Prior experience assisting senior executives
- Preferred experience in a research academic environment
