1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Performs technical laboratory work in a scientific research laboratory.Utilizes quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze laboratory fluid or tissue samples.
Operates and cares for laboratory equipment; maintains laboratory supplies and related inventory.
Prepares standard media, cultures, reagents, stains and solutions.
Participates in and performs assigned phases of scientific research projects.
Tracks, stores, retrieves and distributes specimens for laboratory analysis; prepares related records.
May use computers to organize and analyze laboratory research efforts.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and compliance standards.
Enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature, and participating in in-service meetings and workshops.
Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department; maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed.
The pay range for this position is $40,413 - $51,716 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field; or
2. Associate's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time laboratory experience; or
3. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time laboratory experience.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in T-cell engineering—including molecular biology techniques and execution of complex analytical assays—to support advanced cell therapy development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cellular assays, such as flow cytometry, cytotoxicity, and viability testing, with a strong analytical mindset and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Working knowledge of cGMP standards, including experience with production documentation, batch records, and compliance-driven environments.
- Solid foundation in aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture, with a track record of maintaining sterility and culture integrity in high-throughput or regulated settings.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey scientific concepts clearly across cross-functional teams; collaborative, articulate, and committed to scientific excellence.
- Hands-on experience in cell therapy—such as CAR-T, stem cell-based platforms, or other adaptive cell transfer modalities—spanning research, process development, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with key tools and systems used in clinical and commercial cell therapy production, including CliniMACS Plus/Prodigy, Cocoon, or comparable platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially in documentation, cleanliness, and organization—critical qualities for maintaining reproducibility and regulatory compliance.
