Title: Medical Scribe

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Ambulatory Services - Head & Neck/Plastic & Reconstructive Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: This Medical Scribe in our Head and Neck Ambulatory Clinic works in close collaboration with physicians, patients, and clinic staff to support efficient patient flow and ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records. The individual accompanies physicians into exam rooms to document all physician-directed elements of the patient visit within the electronic medical record system. This includes recording symptoms, medications, physical exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans. Responsibilities also include preparing documentation such as new patient notes, pre-visit intake notes, follow-up notes, consents, procedure notes, and inpatient notes. The role ensures adherence to medical practices and procedures, with a strong emphasis on maintaining patient confidentiality. Upon provider request, the individual may print and review prior clinic notes to verify that all necessary documentation is available for upcoming appointments. Additionally, this role may assist with extracting information from notes and participating in data collection efforts to support provider-driven projects. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree; or
2. Associates degree in a health related field; or
3. Associate degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a medical scribe or in a related field.

NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
