Title: Network Systems Specialist II - SCCM/Intune Administrator

Job Type:

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: • Provides a full range of technical services for any of the following technologies within the infrastructure realm which include the Servers, Microsoft SCCM And Intune; provides services including the setup, system configuration, implementation and security within the Roswell Park Infrastructure; analyzes system traffic, provides capacity planning information and assists with system solutions, monitoring and responding to Server issues; Manages the daily operations activities as well as interfacing with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance; plans and implements small to medium projects; mentors junior level team members on existing and new technologies. Manages the Microsoft SCCM and Intune environments including servers, site systems and client devices.
• Creates and deploys software application packages to target devices.
• Builds and deploys operating system images to client devices using custom task sequences. Manages device drivers.
• Plans and implement patch management strategies including maintenance windows and monitoring compliance.
• Create reports and analyzes data for SCCM and Intune environment to identify potential issues.
• Stays up to date with latest SCCM and Intune features including best practices. May include AutoPilot, Bitlocker, LAPS.
• Mentors other team members.
• Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
• Analyzes the evolving technologies and their impact on the architectural framework, deployment models, implementation, and operations.
• Provides exceptional organizational wide hardware implementation support.
• Provides expertise in complex technical support for the daily business functions of internal customers.
• Participates in project planning and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Develops automate solutions to enhance Roswell's IT environment from both efficiency improvements and performance enhancements. Provides input to IT Management and Network team members on system needs and requirements.
• Develops and enhances processes and ensures adherence to them.
• Keeps management apprised of IT system issues.
• Provides 24 hour support for systems in area of expertise as required.
• Provides feedback to Vendor's Product Management and Engineering teams
• Keeps up to date on competitive solutions, products, and services.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and compliance standards. Enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature, and participating in in-service meetings and workshops.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department; maintains, distributes, analyzes and projects information for required records, reports and statistics as directed.

Salary range for this position is $98,456 - $ 121,360 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Master's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in computer system hardware, operating systems and software, enterprise networking or computer systems security as it relates to technology used at the organization; or
2. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience as a Network Systems Specialist I at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center; or
3. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in computer system hardware, operating systems and software, enterprise networking or computer systems security as it relates to technology used at the organization; or
4. Associates degree and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full‐time experience in computer system hardware, operating systems and software, enterprise networking or computer systems security as it relates to technology used at the organization; or
5. High School Diploma or High School equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of ten (10) years of full‐time experience in computer system hardware, operating systems and software, enterprise networking or computer systems security as it relates to technology used at the organization.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience managing and updating SCCM environments

  • Experience creating application packages and deployments

  • Integration of SCCM with Intune, managing an Intune environment_

  • Creation and management of Operating System images and Task Sequences

  • Creation and management of MDM policies

  • Planning and implementing patch management strategy for client devices

  • General Windows server and desktop experience

  • General IT and customer service experience, troubleshooting skills
