Title: Nursing Staff Development Instructor

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Nursing Professional Development, Practice and Research Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Promotes professional development of all nursing personnel; provides orientation; assesses, plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates educational programs designed to meet identified learning needs; provides educational intervention that enhances growth and allows nursing staff to provide high quality nursing care to all oncology patients; leads nursing quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the unit managers; manages the clinical competency assessment processes; continuously identifies and implements evidence-based nursing practice and assists with patient care activities to maintain clinical competence.

Salary range is $85,196 - $101,197 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or a related healthcare field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience which includes education/preceptor experience or previous teaching experience; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education or a related health care field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time nursing experience which includes education/preceptor experience or previous teaching experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have a Master's degree in Nursing Education and experience in chemotherapy administration, oncology, nursing education, and critical care.
