Job Description :

Summary

The Agile Coach is responsible to train product/technology teams on the enterprise agile methodology and oversee the development of agile teams to ensure effective outcomes for the business portfolio. They are responsible for guiding teams through the implementation process and are tasked with encouraging workers and leadership to embrace the agile method. The agile coach is responsible to arm agile teams with the right knowledge, tools and training so that they'll be able to use agile to its full potential and drive business outcomes. They pull from their own background in project management, IT and other related fields to understand what will work for the business. They integrate related methodologies within the company. They contribute and support setting standards for agile process. They provide training to teams on various agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, Scrumban, etc. This position will be responsible for all agile support required at the portfolio level. The agile coach will work very closely with all Scrum Masters and Kanban leads in maintaining the standards of the enterprise agile support at Ryder. This position will have direct reports of agile practitioners.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee all agile deliveries, organizational impediments, Product Owner coaching, release plans and deliverables.
  • Works with defined teams in order to prepare overall agile delivery kick-off for the project, supports product owner in creating user stories, supports team in estimating effort and preparing implementation for user stories, supports Scrum Master project execution.
  • Identifies, selects, creates and integrates with appropriate agile framework as and when needed for agile deliveries.
  • Supports the creation and standardization of all policies and procedures surrounding the Ryder specific approach to Agile.
  • Owns and drives organizational change around Agile project initiatives related to Ryder Transformation.
  • Facilitates key Agile project coaching, including but not limited to project managers, team members and business leaders on selected tools, ceremonies, and methodologies that have been adjusted to meet Ryders needs and long term strategic goals set for Agile across the portfolio.
  • Supports and runs internal agile training. Also identifies the current areas of learning and coaching needed by Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, IT leaders and teams and prepare custom training curriculum to meet specific needs for the portfolio.
  • Focuses on building “High performance teams” on IT side while identifying Product value streams on Business.
  • Identifies and defines the capabilities, technical tools, and management systems required to successfully implement the Ryder defined Agile Strategy, including but not limited to systems needed for Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Change Managements, Integrations, and Project Tracking Systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conducts Agility assessments of projects leveraging Agile Methodologies taking place.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, program updates, set targets, timelines.
  • Work hand in hand with the Portfolio Manager to implement agile practices and drive the agile portfolio score to maximize business value.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering, Technology or a relevant degree
  • Master's degree preferred MBA or Master's degree
  • Seven (7) years or more in Project Management required
  • Seven (7) years or more in IT required
  • Five (5) years or more in Agile Methodologies, Agile Coaching, and Training required
  • Five (5) years or more Supervisory experience required
  • Five (5) years or more in organizational change preferred
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Lean Kanban
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

$100,000.00

Maximum Pay Range:

$125,000.00
