Summary
The Dispatch Supervisor oversees daily operations for a local fleet of approximately 20 drivers performing yard moves and regional shuttle runs within a 100‑mile radius. This role is responsible for planning daily work assignments and driver schedules while ensuring safe, efficient equipment movement and on‑time service performance. The supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and coordinates closely with shipping and receiving locations and repair partners. Performance is measured through key metrics including on‑time shuttle and yard move execution, driver productivity, hours‑of‑service compliance, safety performance, and service disruptions or delays. The supervisor monitors driver performance enforces safety and regulatory requirements, and resolves operational issues to support reliable, continuous yard and shuttle operations.
Essential Functions
- Manage daily dispatch operations, including driver scheduling and workload planning for yard and regional shuttle activities.
- Monitor real-time operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service execution.
- Lead and support drivers by providing direction, coaching, and day-to-day issue resolution.
- Enforce safety standards, DOT regulations, and Hours of Service compliance while monitoring safety performance.
- Partner with maintenance and repair teams to minimize equipment downtime and service disruptions.
- Escalate critical operational or safety issues and provide backup support for the Logistics Manager and Load Planner to ensure operational continuity.

Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of trucking processes, technology, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
- Ability to assess problem, determine root cause, and work to resolution with a team.
- Self-starter: ability to work independently
- Functional experience in warehousing, transportation, and supply chain management
- Flexible work schedule some evening and weekend coverage required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) advanced required

- Two (2) years or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. required.

Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
