SAIC is seeking Air Object Custody Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA.  Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

As the Air Object Custody Engineer, you will deliver specialized engineering expertise to define, develop, and integrate multi‑INT software capabilities that address urgent National Security priorities. Supporting SAIC's customer, you will help lead the integration of mission‑focused tools that enhance efficiency, automation, and information sharing essential to maintaining custody of adversary aircraft. In this role, you will also advise Government managers overseeing the full end‑to‑end lifecycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise, contributing to solution engineering, integrated architecture development, and the operational integration of multi‑INT tools and data across the broader National Security enterprise.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Exercise thought leadership and practical engineering application leveraging direct experience to assist the Program Management Office with solution engineering, program planning and mission integration of capabilities and data flows to meet air object custody requirements.
  • Decompose stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of CONOPS, schedule impacts, and trades
  • Engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs to enhance cross-program integration, track solution delivery progress and assist in developing digital work products
  • Participate in and contribute to technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; and provide engineering and technical advice to the customer to achieve innovative capabilities 
  • Provide technical expertise to support the planning of future systems and architectures
  • Develop briefings and documentation material, including architecture views and technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Experience with Joint/Combined military operations, systems engineering methods and creative thought-leadership to mature and develop mission solutions to pressing intelligence needs.
  • Demonstrated operational knowledge and technical proficiency in air object custody topics to include: air operations across the spectrum of conflict, track quality standards, priority schemes, correlation logic and track association algorithms, identification criteria, confidence metrics, and sensor bias compensation
  • Broad systems engineering exposure (e.g. system architecture and design, integration of system requirements, CONOPS development, systems verification to develop solutions)
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced team 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work 
  • Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high tempo environment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Air Battle Manager, AWACS/JSTARS/Air Operations Center Mission Crew Commander, or USAF DGS experience a Plus!
  • Experience using US Government systems including, but not limited to:  MARS, FADE, THRESHER, ChatSurfer, Bodhi a Plus!
