SAIC is seeking an Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to provide operations/security support for multiple programs/customers within the SAIC Space and Intel business group.

This position will serve as the primary day-to-day program security support to multiple DoD/IC customers, for all matters of program security, classification guidance, program integration, and other duties as assigned/needed including, assist with preparation of security plans, reviewing applicable guidelines, and established procedures for all areas of security to include Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical/Technical Security, Classification Management, and Program Security under 32 CFR and other applicable government/SAIC Security guidance.

Job Responsibilities:
· Preparation and completion of security audits and government inspections
· Routinely operates within these databases - SIMS/NISS/DISS
· Processes personnel security clearances; verify visitor clearances, COMSEC, CAC Re-verifications, etc.
· Implements visitor control and certifications for visitors to customer sites
· Ensure proper handling/storage of classified materials
· Coordinates and transmits document control as directed; receipt/dispatch
· Prepares and conducts program briefings associated with executed NDAs
· Reviews documents for proper classification markings
· Supports meetings to ensure compliance with administrative security safeguards
· Supports security processing - courier, scheduling, tracking, and facilitating personnel inquiries and investigations
· Perform general clerical duties as required.
· Ensure facility compliance with all security policies and directives
· Liaison with customer and subcontractor security offices on security issues
· Must have experience working with DoD customer(s)
· Must be willing to be available 24/7 for on-call duties in order to uphold our commitment to continuous operational readiness, which includes providing SAIC a mechanism for which to contact you.
· Must have current/active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility to be considered for this position
· Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
· Industrial Security knowledge with minimum of 2 years DoD security experience desired
· Hands on experience working in NISS/DISS/SIMS desired
· Experience/knowledge supporting proposal efforts desired
· Must be self motivated, have initiative and be capable of working autonomously
· Must have exceptional organizational skills; effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision
· Must have skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and Outlook (email, calendars)
· Must be responsive to deadlines and completeness in accomplishing assignments
· Must have a “Can do” attitude, able to work with many types of people
· Must have strong interpersonal skills/briefing skills; communicate with senior level leaders, internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations and independent decision making with minimal direct supervision while representing the security organization
· Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
· Must have the ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions on a daily basis

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
