SAIC is seeking an Army Training Developer and Trainer with experience in DoD air defense Command and Control (C2) Systems , operations, fielding, training and systems integration to support our Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) team in Huntsville, AL. 

The Army Training Developer/Trainer will be responsible but not limited to the following:  

  • Become fully trained on the IBCS Major End Items (MEI)
  • Begin planning for New Equipment Training (NET) at the onset of program initiation. 
  • Plan for Delta-NET at the onset of program initiation. 
  • Conduct training to Field Service Experts (FSE) to ensure they can fully support the units they are assigned to.
  • Employ the most cost-effective and feasible training strategy to conduct NET. 
  • Include in NET, training on the training support components provided at NET that enable unit leaders to sustain operator and maintainer proficiency on the new/improved equipment after NET. 
  • Coordinate plans for NET training and training support with MATDEV, TNGDEV, CAPDEV, testers, and user ACOMs, ASCCs, and DRUs. 
  • Coordinate NET funding requirements with designated PEOs and PMs. 
  • Ensure NET support components are developed in accordance with the Army Training and Education Development (ED) process and Army training support design standards. 
  • Ensure embedded training requirements and computer-based instructions are developed in accordance with the system capabilities document during the initial development process. 
  • Ensure effectiveness of NET and training support components are validated (by the responsible training proponent(s)) and on-hand before the conduct of NET. 
  • Review basis of issue plan feeder data for new and improved equipment in accordance with AR 71–32. 
  • Prepare a Qualitative and Quantitative Personnel Requirements Information document in accordance with AR 71–32. 

Qualifications

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience; additional six (6) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree. 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required. 

Required Experience and Skills: 

  • Must have the ability to review and develop training material utilizing TRADOC guidance, assist in the management of the training of soldiers and DoD civilians including training schedules.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as C2 systems, tactical radios, tactical computers.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, editing, and writing training material IAW AR350-1 and TRADOC Reg. 350-70.
  • Practical knowledge and experience working with the Training Development Capability (TDC).
  • Experience in fielding and integration training at the user or staff level.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment supporting a diverse customer base comprised of engineers, analysts, developers, and specialists.
