SAIC is seeking a ASCCE Model Controller for an existing (OCONUS) Air Force program out of S. Korea. (Relevant OCONUS Benefits/Relocation included below).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The contractor shall have dual responsibilities.
- As database manager, the contractor shall create Air, Space, Cyber, Constructive Environment (ASCCE) databases required to operate the simulation.
- The contractor shall coordinate directly with functional members in the training audience to gather the required database inputs for the ASCCE simulation.
- The contractor shall develop and support the portions of pre-exercise tests which pertain to database testing of ASCCE and data compatibility/consistency with other simulation systems.
- The contractor shall also be the ASCCE model operator.
- In this capacity, the contractor shall operate and manage the operation of the ASCCE simulation during pre-exercise test and training and during execution of exercises, 607, AOC CT and internal PASC training.
- The contractor shall work as a principal model controller monitoring the operation of the model to troubleshoot and take the necessary control steps to maintain efficient operation.
- The contractor shall control the ASCCE simulation in coordination with overall exercise model control and in coordination with the requirements for operating within the Joint Training Confederation of exercise simulations.
- As required, the contractor shall support a series of pre-execution planning conferences for the exercises/events.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Six years relevant experience in Linux computer systems and 2 additional years' experience in modeling and simulation (air preferred).
- Must be capable of monitoring the performance of the ASCCE simulation and troubleshooting the model and database anomalies in the context of Joint Training Confederation-driven exercises.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of exercise simulation of other service components to be able to advocate the air component position at exercise planning events. DoD IAT Level II certification if required.
- Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's and 14 years, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Air Operations Center (AOC) procedures and operations to plan complex simulation-driven exercise events and direct such activities undertaken by operational/technical augmentees.
- Knowledge of Air Tasking Order (ATO) preparation and execution; AOC display systems for Common Operational Picture (COP) and Common Tactical Picture (CTP); and battle damage assessment processes and systems.
- Knowledge of practical application of computer simulation for the support of exercises, the fundamental principles of simulation-driven exercise planning, and experience in the control of a simulation center during an exercise.
OCONUS Assignment Provisions: (Department of State / DOS location reference for Section 920 table references is Seoul, South Korea).
- Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) - will not exceed employee's rental agreement and qualifying housing expenses OR DOS LQA effective rate for Group 3, whichever is lower.
- Dependent Education reimbursement per DOS Education Allowance. "Post" rate and regulations.
- Relocation and repatriation provisions.
- Temporary living (lodging & meals).
- Property management for primary US residence.
- Miscellaneous relocation expense allowance.
- Household goods (HHG) shipment.

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
