SAIC is currently seeking to hire a Senior Aviation Airfield Support Specialist in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The Senior Aviation Airfield Support Specialist will perform duties as a Military Systems Specialist that supports the development of Army aviation, and AAF/AHP regulations, policies, operations, and strategic plans (FAA, DOD, and Army) and have the expertise to coordinate with high-level military organizations.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of experience or more of related experience; Master's and eight (8) years or more of related experience; Additional four (4) years of experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Security Clearance:
- Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance to begin employment.
- US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of DOD Siting Clearing House processes, procedures, and Army Aviation mitigation strategies related to energy projects.
- Experience in coordinating and staffing aviation related actions at high levels of military and/or Federal Government organizations.
- Significant previous experience with military and/or Federal Government aviation, air traffic services, and airfields management or airfield operations.
- Must have strong experience in leading senior staff-level organizations working resource management and programming for aviation, airfield, and/or ATC programs and must understand military the Mission, Organization, and Structure.
- In-depth knowledge of DOD, FAA international civil aviation rules, and other applicable laws, regulations, instructions, and directives as they pertain to airfield standards, ATC, aircraft operations, airfield management.
