SAIC is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Business Project Analyst to support the Department of War (DoW) Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) with managing the Metals, Mining, and Materials (MMM) Portfolio. The Business Project Analyst will play a critical role in prioritizing MMM projects and associated actions, ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with organizational objectives. This role requires a project management-focused professional capable of tracking, organizing, and facilitating multiple workstreams in parallel.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, organizational expertise, and experience coordination projects with competing priorities. While familiarity with financial and investment banking processes and MMM technologies is beneficial, this role prioritizes general project facilitation and action management over sector-specific technical or financial depth.
This position is on-site in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC. Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
Fulltime salary for this position is targeted between $135-145K based on education, experience, and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support MMM leadership by overseeing intake pipeline, tracking deal/project statuses, meeting deadlines, and ensuring timely updates on key priorities.
- Act as the central hub for prioritizing actions across the MMM portfolio. Organize meetings to align project priorities, identify critical action items, and track their progress through completion. Manage files, deadlines, and deliverables. Proactively ensure projects meet goals and milestones.
- Coordinate and prioritize meetings, ensuring agendas are action-driven and aligned with project needs. Engage with DoW, interagency, and external stakeholders to communicate priorities effectively.
- Produce clear, concise, and well-organized summaries for stakeholder communication, read-aheads, and materials for weekly briefings.
- Assist in building out industry overviews, compiling strategic information, and supporting knowledge management systems for long-term portfolio success.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors. Minimum of four (years) experience with a Master's degree.
Required Clearance:
- Active SECRET with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI in order to maintain employment.

- Demonstrated expertise in project management and tracking complex, multifaceted pipelines with competing priorities.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to create structure and maintain progress within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, defining actionable priorities, and ensuring follow-through deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to brief decision-makers clearly and concisely through well-organized materials and presentations.
- Proficiency in standard office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and project management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, quickly learn unfamiliar subject areas, and adapt to evolving priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with financial analysis or federal investment programs.
- Understanding of MMM technologies or critical infrastructure investments for national security.
- Experience supporting DoW programs or projects with interagency and industry coordination responsibilities.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
