Description

We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join STG Delivery and grow their skills across the full lifecycle of cloud infrastructure. This role is a great fit for someone early in their cloud/infra career who's eager to learn, take on increasing responsibility, and build a strong foundation for future growth. This role is a hybrid opportunity and candidates must sit in Texas with the ability to go onsite 2-3 days a week.

What You'll Do

  • Build and support — Help design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to ownership — Take on well-scoped pieces of larger projects, with support from senior engineers as complexity increases.
  • Automate — Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline components to reduce manual work across the team.
  • Troubleshoot — Assist in diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues, and participate in incident response as part of the team.
  • Collaborate — Work with engineers across assigned programs to deliver solutions that meet technical and business needs.
  • Learn and grow — Actively develop your technical skills through pairing, code reviews, and hands-on project work.
  • Find your voice — Participate in architecture discussions and team planning, building toward more independent technical contributions over time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree and 2 years of experience. 4 additional years can be used in lieu of degree
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
  • Candidates must have an interim Secret clearance to start
  • 2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering (internships, personal projects, or professional experience all count).

  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of containerization concepts (Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent).
  • Willingness to troubleshoot problems and ask good questions along the way.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (required on day one)
  • Proximity and ready access to a SIPR facility (required on day one)
