SAIC is seeking Cloud DevOps Engineers to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

Our mission is to provide cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and services to utilize the cloud as an enabler for modernizing software development capabilities within the Army. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team with a sense of urgency and commitment to delivering excellency to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop, manage, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Administer and support cloud environments on Azure and/or AWS.
• Perform Linux and Windows system administration tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Defense security requirements.
• Apply DISA STIG (Secure Technical Implementation Guides) where necessary.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Support Kubernetes deployments and administration.
• Implement and manage cloud networking solutions.
• Build scalable digital engineering environments.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors and five (5) years' experience; Six (6) additional years' experience can be consider in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 1+ years of experience using Terraform in production environments.
• 1+ years of experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience with Azure and/or 1+ years of experience with AWS cloud. 
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Experience with building and administering Kubernetes.
• General understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevSecOps best practices.
• Security-focused mindset with knowledge of defense industry standards.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Experience with Ansible.
• Familiarity with DISA STIG.
• Cloud networking experience.
• Experience working with Department of Defense systems.
• Understanding of security requirements for defense systems.
