SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Architect to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career. The ideal Cloud Architect shall have strong expertise and experience in cloud architecture/deployments and workload migration to cloud. Shall act as cloud SME to advance the customers capabilities to deliver secure, compliant, and robust cloud architectures for hosting enterprises workloads.  

Job Responsibilities

• Architect and Design AWS solutions for enterprise business requirements.
• Automate provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure to support the development organizations.
• Develop. Secure, Highly Available, cost efficient Cloud Native Architectures as part of re-architecting existing workloads.
• Develop and manage cloud security governance based on Government requirements and industry best practices.
• Develop and manage policies to enforce minimum privileges to meet the business requirements.
• Support major/minor release deployments.
• Evaluate existing security practices, procedures, controls and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Support Zero Trust architectures.
• Support Information Security programs by implementing cloud strategies and solution architectures to accomplish objectives.
• Identify and adopt best practices, architectural solution patterns, new technologies to address current and future needs, enhance security, and to optimize cost.
• Support DevSecOps practices and managing CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Required: 

• BS and 9 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship. 
• In-depth understanding of and experience as a cloud architect with AWS, IaaS, PaaS, and databases.
• Hands-on demonstrable experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Upbound Crossplane, Terraform and Ansible for cloud infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on Experience with a diverse set of Amazon Web Services (compute, storage, network, security, administration, automation, application services, databases).
• Operating Systems experience with various Linux distributions
• Hands on experience managing MongoDB clusters with Ops-Manager.
• Hands on experience installing and managing Kubernetes and Docker swarms.
• Hands-on Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to AWS.
• Experience in areas: Incident response, Logging and Monitoring, Security, Identity and Access Management, and Data Protection.
• Experience in debugging performance and technical issues.
• Strong experience in building and deploying systems on the Cloud, using CI/CD frameworks and infrastructure automation.
• DevSecOps Experience in AWS platform.

  

Desired: 

• Team player and have the ability to collaborate with various enterprise teams (application, networking, security) to develop solutions and resolve issues.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Serve as AWS evangelist and help educating development teams on cloud services.

 

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
