SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Deputy Upgraded Early Warning (UEWR) Incremental Sustainment Services Lead in Colorado Springs, Colorado to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. This position pertains to the AN/FPS-132, UEWR Radars and supporting systems. In support of the government program office, the Deputy is the responsible for assisting the lead, responding to direction and managing the integration and completion of all project activities. Leads a multi-functional team of mission, hardware and software engineering, sustainment, training, logistics, security (including cyber) and support specialists responsible for overall system operational availability.
- Provide execution oversight and lead collaboration and coordination for over 150+ personnel and 100+ customer stakeholders
- Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.
- Manage large-scale operation and sustainment projects, to include cost estimating and management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
- Manages conflict resolution within and across internal and external teams
- Managing large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to backlog grooming, cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting.
- Contributes to program level financial management
- Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing
Qualifications
· Bachelor's and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience; master's and twelve (12) years or more experience.
· Active Secret Clearance.
· Ability to collaborate with and lead 200+ member, multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of projects.
· Experience managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for space surveillance or other national security space mission systems.
· Experience in conflict resolution, customer satisfaction, resolve challenging and unique troubleshooting in time limited situations
· Continued interest in learning and improving skillsets and understanding of a constantly changing engineering landscape
· Knowledge of Agile and its processes, to include Jira and Confluence.
· Experience in national security space operations and joint operations
Desired Qualifications:
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
· Direct experience managing large (300+ personnel / 100M+) Department of Defense (DoD) programs
· Experience working in a security-controlled workplace and supporting a program with multi-tiered security personnel
· Experience in personnel management to include career progression
· Experience contributing to career development and progression of DoD engineers
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
