SAIC is seeking a motivated and career-oriented Deputy Program Manager to support the Program Manager in overseeing Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory Services (SETA) at our client's Chantilly, VA location. This role involves managing personnel, multi-contractor teams, and ensuring effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager and collaborate with SAIC Recruiting to continue expanding programs by identifying and hiring highly qualified staff, aligning with industry best practices for workforce development.
  • In addition to daily SETA support, provide mentorship, develop, and implement staff development plans tailored to industry needs; address training needs; and facilitate career advancement opportunities for employees.
  • Manage all personnel actions in alignment with corporate policy and lead staff through constructive feedback and training sessions.
  • Propose and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and morale while reducing attrition, informed by industry norms for employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff to identify business opportunities within the Intelligence Community and author white papers that capture innovations to strengthen SAIC's capabilities.
  • Actively participate in business capture and proposal activities, following industry standards for proposal development and submission.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 12 years of experience working within the Intelligence Community, with a proven track record in program management.
  • Strong team leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with geographically distributed staff, employing virtual team management techniques.
  • Fundamental understanding of personnel management processes and best practices in business metrics.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for presenting findings logically, supported by data and information.
