SAIC is seeking a DevSecOps Systems Engineer to fill a critical position on the SAIC's Prime Program Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle, utilizing a range of Cloud technologies, and operating within a Cloud environment. A Top Secret/SCI Poly is required.
Job responsibilities include:
- Apply DevSecOps concepts, processes and tools to help the government plan and define capabilities needed to better support mission operations (e.g., automation, situational awareness, etc.).
- Support digital engineering strategy and governance development and implementation roadmap planning across contractor and government teams.
- Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements.
- Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies.
- Provide technical support to government points of contact.
- Collaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and in customer forums.
- Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations.
- Develop assessments and briefings for a variety of audiences, conveying system engineering concepts and decision logic concisely and accurately.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Experience with DevSecOps and tools.
- Experience with systems development methodologies (e.g., Agile, ).
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with CONOPS requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture development.
- Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations, and maintenance, decommission.
- Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with limited supervision; excels at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.
- Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
- Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project.
