SAIC is seeking an Electronics Tech II for our Hanahan, SC location. This position is 100% on site.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with integration of military vehicles, to include electronics and metal work.
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Performing multiple tasks using written detailed instructions.
- Installing electrical and mechanical equipment/components.
- Performing inspections for proper installation.
- Assembling communication equipment using standard hand tools.
- Assembling drawings and technical manual and specific written and oral instructions.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
- Two (2) years of practical experience to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs., walking, climbing stooping, reaching, kneeling and standing on your feet for the entire shift.
Required Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Public Trust security clearance. Active clearances accepted.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
