SAIC is looking for a talented  Trade Show and Event Coordinator for the Marketing organization. This is unique opportunity to join a highly creative and evolving team during an exciting organization transformation. With new leadership in place, we are engaging with internal and external stakeholders in increasingly meaningful new ways. 
 
Primary areas of responsibility include providing trade show and event coordination to support Tier One Trade Shows and customer events. As a trade show and event coordinator, you will manage team registration, hotel blocks, research, track and order promotional items, travel to trade shows, coordinate the small booth portfolio, and manage the internal trade show resource website. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic. In this role, you will have ability to be a trusted resource to  marketing and business development teams. 
 
You will work with a marketing organization who loves to collaborate, comes to work with a positive attitude and has a strong work ethic. 
 
Responsibilities:  

  • Manage promotional orders for all Tier One trade shows and customer events. 
  • Work with external vendor on fresh ideas, source and place orders, track inventory and expenses. 
  • Support Sr. Logistics Manager and Director, Corporate Trade Shows on Tier One team registration, hotel room blocks, customer events, trade show logistics, team attire and trade show onsite management. Ability to understand exhibit booth design, terminology and place booth requirement orders with vendor.  
  • Attend weekly event meetings and give updates to the team; consistently update event planning briefs and report out during team meetings.
  • Regularly update internal trade show website with updated copy, home page images, promotional guides, event calendar updates, booth portfolios, and other company-wide trade show information.
  • Coordinate small booth program for Tier 2 and Tier 3 shows.
  • Do site inspections, menu creation, promotional development, and event budget tracking.
  • Candidates should have the ability to support Sr. Logistics Manager on budget tracking and updates; comfortable using company purchase card to make trade show payments and track spend.
  • All candidates should have the ability to work with external vendors on a daily basis regarding multiple projects  at one time.
     

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's or associates degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, event management, exhibit management, or a related field from an accredited college or university in addition to 5 years of experience.
  • Candidates should have strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle unexpected challenges that may arise during trade shows and events.
  • Must have excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships.
  • Candidates should have strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work for all stakeholders.
  • Must have proactive problem-solving skills to identify potential issues and find creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Trade show/exhibit management experience preferred
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Database management
