SAIC is seeking engineers to provide Site Implementation engineers support various FAA programs. This role will require 50% travel and allows remote work from home when not traveling to customer sites.
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Assist in specifications development, implementation, testing and documenting engineering systems and equipment in the National Airspace System (NAS).
- Reading site drawings
- Installing and validating hardware and software
- Cable fabrication and testing
- Providing network systems engineering support services, including but not limited to analyzing and optimizing network architecture and performance, installing and configuring bridges, routers, hubs, switches, gateways and other network devices for optimal performance and supporting connectivity to other networks and facilities.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders on all matters pertinent to the successful implementation of assigned program or functional area.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in any field; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Knowledge of computer hardware, cable paths and protocols
- Skilled in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
Required Clearance & Background:
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Public Trust.
- Ability to satisfy FAA resume and security approval requirements.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
