SAIC is seeking qualified Fighter Aircrew Simulator Operator candidates to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program...this position is located out of Atlantic City, NJ.
AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.
The role of this position is to support the Air National Guard with M&S Operational, Technical, and Innovative Support team; below are the job duties/responsibilities:
- Fighter aircrew (F-16, F-15, F-18, F-22, or comparable aircraft) or have been previously qualified as a cockpit qualified.
- MTTG or MTC simulator operator.
- Operate Simulators from inside the cockpit, as well as at the console as an operator while other pilots operate the cockpits.
- The SMEs are responsible for all aspects of daily simulator operation: Management of simulator console operations, scenario development, and current 3-1tactics, avionics management and scenario management.
Qualifications
The following skills are required:
- Fighter Pilot with five hundred (500) hours air-to-air and air-to-ground flight experience as an Instructor pilot (F-16, F-15, F-18, F-22, or comparable aircraft) or have been previously qualified as a cockpit qualified.
- Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master's degree and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must be a US Citizen and minimally possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
